Commonly used coffee brands used at home in Canada 2020

Tim Hortons was the leading coffee brand which Canadians used at home according to a survey in 2020. Twenty-three percent of respondents indicated using the coffee brand at home in the month previous to survey. Maxwell House was the next most popular brand according to 21 percent of respondents.

Canadian’s love of coffee

The number of past-day coffee consumers has been on the rise in recent years – in 2018, 72 percent of surveyed Canadians stated that they had drank coffee in the past 24 hours, an increase of 10 percent since 2009. A recorded increase in consumption volume supports these survey findings: in the 2018/19 marketing year, around 4.7 million 60-kilogram bags of coffee were consumed throughout Canada. When surveyed, around 32 percent of Canadian respondents stated that they spent between 10 and 19 Canadian dollars on coffee for home use per month, whilst around 6 percent spent over 100 dollars.
