Total investments of non-MMF investment funds in listed shares Netherlands 2006-2016

According to the source non-MMF investment funds are "collective investment schemes which are principally engaged in issuing investment fund shares or units, and, on their own account, to make investments primarily in financial assets other than short-term financial assets and in non-financial assets (usually real estate). The money market funds are excluded from the investment funds."

Listed shares are defined by the source as: "equity securities listed on an exchange. Such an exchange may be a recognised stock exchange or any other form of secondary market. Listed shares are also referred to as quoted shares. The existence of quoted prices of shares listed on an exchange means that current market prices are usually readily available."

Up to 2005 no figures are available for foreign investment fund shares. These are included in listed shares up to 2005, and from then on in shares in investment funds.

In 2014, Statistics the Netherlands has conducted a major revision on their macro-economic data. The national accounts have been compiled in accordance with the guidelines and concepts of the new European System of Accounts 2010 (ESA 2010). In addition, new statistical sources and estimation methods have been used during the revision. This table shows the figures from 2008 after revision, the figures up to 2008 have not changed.
