The travel spending of UK tourists abroad roughly tripled between 1999 and 2019. In 2019, the United Kingdom's outbound travel spending amounted to roughly 62.3 billion British pounds. In that year, the inbound travel spending, namely the travel expenditure of overseas visitors in the United Kingdom, reached about 28.4 billion British pounds.
