The statistic shows the distribution of beer production in Germany by size of the brewery from 2005 to 2023. In 2023, the beer output of German breweries totaled around 79.8 million hectoliters. The largest share of over seventy percent was produced by big breweries, with an annual production of over one million hectoliters. Around 1.7 percent of this was produced in small and microbreweries with a total annual production of 10,000 hectoliters or less.
