As of March 2022, one in four U.S. adults stated in a survey that they were somewhat or very likely to watch the telecast of the Academy Awards. In comparison, the share of respondents who were likely to watch the Oscars was a little lower in the previous year. Oscar viewership in the U.S. has been declining for several years, but the figure increased again in 2022, amounting to 15.4 million that year.
