Greenhouse gas emissions of the chemical industry in the European Union 1990-2021
Greenhouse gas emissions from the European Union's chemical industry have been on a downward trend over the last three decades. In 2021, the chemical industry in the EU emitted around 123.9 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent. This represented a decrease when compared to 1990 levels.
