Quarterly average number of sick days per employee in Sweden 2019-2022, by gender

Women have a higher average number of sick days in Sweden than men. Moreover, the number of sick days tends to be higher during the cold months in the first and fourth quarters of the year. For both genders, the highest number of sick days during the considered time period were registered in the first quarter of 2022, with 3.41 sick days among women and 2.59 among men.
