Food and drink services' revenue in Belgium increased in the second quarter of 2023 compared to the previous year, following a sharp drop with the onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. After falling to roughly 1.5 billion euros in the second quarter of 2020, such services' revenue bounced back to nearly 4.3 billion euros in the second quarter of 2022, then rose further to 4.7 billion euros in the second quarter of 2023.
