From July 2021 to the end of the year, the annual change in the monthly Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) in Sweden increased steadily. It fell slightly in January 2022, but continued to increase rapidly through 2022 following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. After reaching 10.8 percent in December 2022, it declined since, dropping to 6.7 percent in May 2023.
