Ove the past 10 years, the difference in social welfare awarded to foreign-born households and Swedish-born households in Sweden increased. In 2013, the total amount received by foreign-born households amounted to 7.2 billion Swedish kronor, compared to 5.4 billion in Swedish-born households. In 2022, this amount stood at 6.7 billion Swedish kronor and four billion kronor, respectively.
