The monthly trend in volume sales of the total retail trade in Czechia fluctuated from January 2015 to December 2022. Retail trade sales volume in Czechia had a steady increase until the beginning of 2020. Through that year, retail sales volume had significant fluctuations, especially while COVID-19 lockdowns were in place. In June 2021, volume of retail sales stood at an index value of 131.8, the highest figure in the observed period. Since then, the volume of retail sales has decreased. As of December 2022, the index value was around 117.4.
