From 2008 to 2022, the number of unemployed people in Belgium varied from region to another. Over this period, unemployment fluctuated in Belgium. In 2022, the number of unemployed people in the Brussels-Capital Region increased to 65,300 people. In the same year, the number of unemployed people decreased to 128,000 in the Walloon Region and to 99,300 in Flanders.
