A: Upper middle class; workers of higher managerial, administrative or professional positions
B: Middle class; worker in intermediate managerial, administrative or professional positions
C1: Lower middle class; working in supervisory or clerical and junior managerial, administrative or professional positions
C2: Skilled working class; working as skilled manual workers
D: Working class; working as semi-skilled and unskilled manual workers
E: Non working; casual or lowest grade workers, pensioners, and others who depend on the welfare state for their income
