UK: quarterly large household e-waste collection 2024

Approximately 42,900 metric tons of large household appliances were collected in the United Kingdom as waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) in the first quarter of 2024. The largest volume of large household appliances collected since 2016 was in the first quarter of 2020, at 58,316 metric tons. However, due to the outbreak of COVID-19 the volume of e-waste collected in the second quarter of 2020 dropped by more than half. The United Kingdom is one of the biggest producers of e-waste worldwide.
