In spring 2019, newspapers reached 43 percent of Canadians between the ages of 18 and 24 years every week, down from 48 percent in the previous year. Even among adults aged over 55, who are generally more inclined to consume traditional media than their younger counterparts, newspaper reach has dropped by 20 percent since 2014.
