UK: natural gas demand forecast by scenario 2050

The United Kingdom (UK)'s demand for natural gas amounted to 986 terawatt-hours in 2022. It is forecast that the UK's natural gas demand will amount to just 29 terawatt hours in 2050 in the Consumer Transformation energy scenario. Conversely, in the Falling Short scenario, it is forecast that the natural gas demand in the UK will amount to 513 terawatt-hours that year.
