The figures up to and incl. 1990 refer to western states of Germany only. Figures excl. alcoholic mixed drinks (incl. mixed drinks 2011: 518; 2012: 536; 2013: 533; 2014: 688; 2016:546; 2017:546; 2018: 570 million bottles). Figures from 2005 onwards include a relatively high share of double counts.
