In 2019, visiting friends and family was the most popular activity over the Christmas and New Year period in Great Britain. According to the survey, roughly six in ten Britons interviewed planned to do so. Meanwhile, 45 percent of respondents thought they will go out for a meal, and 38 percent of the survey sample considered to go shopping at post-Christmas sales over the Christmas and New Year period.
