This statistic shows a revenue comparison of the food (including drugstores) and non-food retail sectors in Germany from 1998 to 2015. In 2005, the German food retail sector generated revenues of roughly 136.6 billion euros. The non-food retail revenue in the same year amounted to roughly 143.5 billion euros.

Figures for the non-food retail sector include the segments electronics, textiles and other household hardwares as well as DIY products. Not included are revenues from pert supplies and coins. Grocery retail includes perfumeries and drugstores. Figures for the food retail sector include drugstores.
