Telefónica’s home market of Spain is the largest single source of revenue for the company, generating 12.65 billion euros in the country in 2023. Brazil and Germany are nearest in terms of overall revenue, generating revenues of 9.65 billion euros and 8.6 billion euros respectively.

Falling ARPU in the United Kingdom

Since 2015, Telefónica has seen a drop in the average revenue per user (ARPU) rate in the UK, falling from 19.4 euros in 2015 to 12.8 euros in 2020. This phenomenon is present across the market in the UK, as the price of mobile services falls.The ARPU of all post-paid mobile subscribers in the UK fell by almost 20 British pounds from 2007 to 2022.
