Note that up until 2015, Turespaña (through the Subdirección General de Conocimiento y Estudios Turísticos) was responsible for statistics on tourist movements of the Spanish, published in the FAMILITUR tourist movement survey. Since 2015 the INE has been responsible for these statistics through the Tourism Survey of Residents (ETR/FAMILITUR).
