The United Kingdom's emission trading scheme (UK ETS) generated revenue of 5.8 billion British pounds in 2023. The UK had previously participated in the European Union Emission Trading Scheme (EU-ETS), but replaced this system with the UK-ETS in January 2021, following the country's exit from the EU.
