Tesco group like-for-like sales performance 2015-2024

In the 2023/24 financial year, Tesco’s like-for-like sales in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland decreased in every quarter. The fourth quarter of the financial year saw the smallest increase in sales at 5.8 percent. Tesco’s overall revenue for the UK and ROI amounted to over 60 billion British pounds in 2022/23.

Like-for-like sales

Like-for-like sales are also referred to as comparable store sales. The growth metric is adjusted so that it includes revenues generated in stores or by selling products with similar characteristics. Distinct differences that could skew the comparison.
