The number of enterprises in the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply industry in Germany increased by 1,895 enterprises (+2.97 percent) in 2022 in comparison to the previous year. In total, the number of enterprises amounted to 65,712 enterprises in 2022.
According to Eurostat, this includes all companies that were active during at least a part of the reference period.
