Snow sports participation England 2007-2016

This statistic shows the results of a survey on the number of people participate in snow sports at least once a month at any intensity for any duration in England between 2007 and 2016. The survey was conducted via telephone interviews and the latest update on it was conducted for the time period between October 2015 and September 2016 with a total of 163,108 respondents. The data collected resulted in the conclusion that as of September 2016 approximately 142,400 adults in England participated in a snow sport on a monthly basis. In 2015, there were approximately 162,400 snow sport participants. Since 2007 the number of snow sport participants has thus decreased from about 186,500 people. This makes a decrease of about 24 percent over eight years. When looking at the types of activities carried out on snowsport holidays in the United Kingdom, it appears that skiing is among the most common snow sports practiced.
