Reading materials preferred by children outside class in Scotland (UK) 2013
This statistic illustrates the types of materials read outside class by children aged 8 to 11 in Scotland in 2013. Approximately 49 percent of children reported that they read fiction and further nearly 37 percent non-finction outside of classroom. However, more than half of the respondents reported they read text messages outside of class and, 32 percent read social networking messages and 25 percent, instant messages.
