This statistic presents the share of consumers citing complete trust or moderate trust in banks and in insurance companies in Europe in 2014, by region. Both banks and insurance companies were least trusted in Western Europe with respectively 57 and 58 percent of respondents citing trust in those businesses. Northern Europe had the highest share of respondents with complete or moderate trust in insurance companies, with 68 percent of them stating that.
