CO₂ emissions from fossil fuel and industrial purposes in Saudi Arabia 1970-2023
Saudi Arabia emitted 623 million metric tons of carbon dioxide (MtCO₂) from fossil fuels and industrial processes in 2023. The state-owned petroleum and national gas giant Saudi Aramco is the world's largest corporate greenhouse gas emitter, accounting for more almost four percent of cumulative fossil fuel and cement carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions produced worldwide between 1854 and 2022.
