According to the source, the figures refer to primary reception channels, i.e. the reception method used on the main TV set of the household. Accordingly, TV households that received satellite TV on a secondary or tertiary device are not included in this statistic. The source provides the following information: The data basis of Astra TV-Monitor 2015 is based on new official demographic statistics. As a result, the number of TV households dropped from 38.8 million in 2014 to 38.1 million in 2015. The absolute range numbers of Astra TV-Monitors 2015 are therefore not comparable with the results of the previous years, however, market shares and their changes are.
