In Canada, consumers of ad-supported video-on-demand platforms were more likely to cut the cord than viewers of subscription-based services. 23 percent of surveyed AVOD viewers to a 2021 survey were likely to cancel a cable TV subscription, compared to 14 percent of SVOD users.
