- Low income is defined as the country-specific bottom third of the personal income allocation.
- Medium income is defined as the country-specific average third of the personal income allocation.
- High income is defined as the country-specific top third of the personal income allocation.

The e-commerce market segment home appliances covers the online sale of long-lived electronic home appliances. These are, for example, large electrical appliances white goods such as washing machines, dishwashers, refrigerators, or washer-dryers. Furthermore, the online sale of coffee machines, espresso machines, food processors, microwaves and vacuum cleaners belong to this market segment. Electronic home appliances can be purchases via a variety of online platforms, including Internet retailers (amazon.com), furniture stores (ikea.com) or from electronic retailers (bestbuy.com).
