This statistic shows the total amount of nitrogen oxide (NOx) emitted by the production of electricity from gas in the United Kingdom (UK) from 1990 to 2017. It shows that emissions actually increased from 1990 to 2000, but then decreased over the following years. In 2017, 16,200 metric tons of sulphur dioxide (SO2) equivalent were emitted, compared to the 33,600 metric tons emitted in 2000.
