This statistic shows the total amount of sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions through the manufacture of refined petroleum products in the United Kingdom (UK) from 1990 to 2017. It shows that the SO2 emissions in this sector have decreased significantly over the period, falling from 137,300 metric tons of SO2 in 1990, to 28,500 metric tons of SO2 in 2017.

Sulphur Dioxide (SO2) is a highly reactive gas, that along with Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) and Ammonia (NH3) is measured as a precursor to acid rain.
Sector classification is based on the NACE code, which is the industry standard classification system for economic activities in the European Community.
