This statistic displays a projection of the available feedstock for cellulosic fuel production in the United States in 2016, by feedstock resource. During this year, availability of the agricultural residue, corn stover, is expected to reach 131.8 million metric dry tons in the U.S.

* Volumes are for estimate quantities at 80 U.S. dollars per dry ton delivered to the throat of conversion reactor. The cost is calculated based on current and projected biomass availability at a given stumpage fee/grower payment, combined with logistics cost estimated for the various feedstocks. Estimated logistics costs are based on 2017 design. Does not include allocations for losses, chemicals, and pellets.
