* Pending permits: includes projects with a preliminary lease pending in the LOPP (lease of power privilege) process and projects pending issuance of a preliminary permit. Issued permit includes projects with a preliminary lease in LOPP process and projects with a FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission) preliminary permit.
** Pending application: includes projects with an application for original FERC license or small hydropower or conduit exemption. Issue Authorization includes projects with an issued original FERC license or either of the two FERC exemption types or a final lease contract under the LOPP process.
Includes new projects greater than 100 kilowatts; excludes micro hydro projects.
