This statistic displays the number of utility interconnected photovoltaic power systems in Ontario from 2012 to 2016. In 2016, the number of solar power PV systems connected to utilities totaled 27,696 in the province. As all the provincial and territorial governments now support net-metering or net-billing and as system costs have decreased, generation of solar energy is gradually approaching grid parity in Canada.
