As of the end of 2023, there were roughly 61.42 million active mobile phone connections provided by Deutsche Telekom in Germany. Deutsche Telekom makes up approximately one third of the market share of network providers in terms of mobile connections. Telefonica O2 took the lead in 2014 when it purchased E-Plus.
