This statistic presents the results of a survey on the share of households with connected TVs in Germany from 2013 to 2020. In 2020, the share of TV households that accessed the internet on their TV set with the help of a peripheral device was roughly 13.6 percent.

* Peripheral devices: hybrid box, streaming sticks, internet-ready gaming consoles, Blu-ray players; if not smart TV.
** TV device connected to the internet via a personal computer, laptop or tablet; if not smart TV or peripheral device. The figure for 2018 is based on 38,697 million TV households in Germany. Only devices that are actually connected to the internet were considered in this statistic.
