The global liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanker fleet encompassed a total of 772 vessels at the end of 2023. This figure also includes floating storage units. Since 2011, figures have steadily increased. With LNG trade volumes reaching 549 billion cubic meters in 2023, a higher number of tankers are paramount to satisfying growing consumer demand.
