Number of child protection recipients in France 2013-2022
The number of child welfare cases increased continuously between 2013 and 2022. In 2013, more than 318,000 child welfare cases were opened. By 2022, that number had grown to more than 380,000.
Child welfare is divided into two categories: placement of minors or young adults outside of their usual living environment and educational activities in the family environment.
