This statistic gives an overview of the perceived difficulty of obtaining a mortgage for first time buyers in the United Kingdom (UK), according to 20 to 45 year olds surveyed in 2011 and 2015. It appears that there was little change over the years, with the majority (91% in 2011 and 92% in 2015) of people finding it hard to virtually impossible for first-time buyers to get a mortgage.
