The source states the following regarding 2019: "With the last changes in cable TV, the digitization of TV households is now complete".
* The source notes that the results of the 2011 census showed slight structural differences in connection with regional distribution, age and gender of the total population and the German population. (…) Consequently, the number of households fell proportionally about 1.7% or 0.7 million.
The source adds the following information: "Since this survey is focused on the perspective of the receiving TV households, TV sets that are connected to a shared satellite TV system but don't need a separate receiver (SMATV-CH households) are counted as cable TV connections. Accordingly, only TV sets with a separate satellite receiver are counted as satellite TV. [...] Households that use more than one way of reception are counted once for each method. Accordingly, the sum of shares may exceed 100 percent."
