Dentists: number of employees in Estonia 2002-2021

In 2021, the number of dentists in Estonia remained nearly unchanged at around 1,346 dentists. Nevertheless, 2021 still represents a peak in the number of dentists in Estonia.
Practising dentists are dentists who provide dental services to patients. They include stomatologists as well as dental and maxillofacial surgeons. Not included are retired or unemployed dentists, dentists who work abroad, dentists who don't work in direct contact with patients (administration, research, etc.), and students who have not yet graduated.
