Development of pension savings among the United Kingdom (UK) population 2012-2016
This statistic shows the share of employees in the United Kingdom (UK) who have made adequate retirement savings from 2012 to 2016, by the size of their employer. Introduction of the automatic enrollment plans for employer-supported pension schemes saw a spike in savings made by employees, particularly of medium and large businesses, who report adequate savings for pensions in 2016 (51 percent and 66 percent of the sample, respectively).
