Banking and financial services accounted for about 18.4 percent of all reported occupational fraud cases in 2020 and 2021. Government and public administration was the industry with the second highest percentage of occurred fraud cases. In 2021 and 2020 about 10.4 percent of all fraud cases occurred in this industry.
