This statistic presents the type of finance, which was difficult to obtain for small and medium enterprises (SME), according to SME employers in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2014. The question was asked only of those businesses that had applied for external financing in the 12 months preceding the survey. A total of 56 percent of those that had experienced problems with getting the financing had applied for bank loans.

Question H10 read as follows: 'Which type of finance did you have problems obtaining?'. Survey was conducted among small and medium businesses with employees. Three categories were distinguished, based on employees numbers: micro businesses (1 to 9 employees), small businesses (10 to 49 employees) and medium businesses (50 to 250 employees).
