This data show the results of a survey concerning the usage of newspaper and magazine supplements as an information source for multimedia products in Germany from 2013 to 2016. In 2014, roughly 32.34 million Germans aged 14 years and older found out about new multimedia products via leaflets and brochures in newspapers.

Information on basic population:
The survey is based on the German-speaking population aged 14 years and older, in private households at the place of main residence in Germany.
Information on basic sample:
2013: 8,702 respondents, projected base of 70.33 million people
2014: 8,156 respondents, projected base of 70.52 million people
2015: 7,009 respondents, projected base of 69.24 million people
2016: 7,026 respondents, projected base of 69.56 million people
The survey question was phrased as follows: "How or from whom do you find out about news concerning TVs, computers, phones and photo devices, e.g. what kind of new products are available? Please choose from this list." (direct translation from German: "Wie oder von wem erfahren Sie, was es Neues gibt bei Fernsehen, Computern, Telefon und Foto, was man da kaufen kann? Was von dieser Liste hier würden Sie nennen?")
