This data show the results of a survey on the desire to purchaase a portable navigation system (e.g. to use in the car, to take on bike rides, hikes etc.) in Germany from 2010 to 2013. In 2012, there were roughly eight million Germans aged 14 to 69 years who stated that they would put a portable navigation device on their personal wish list.

2010: 9,036 respondents, projected to a population of 54.21 million
2011: 8,639 respondents, projected to a population of 53.54 million
2012: 8,213 respondents, projected to a population of 53.03 million
2013: 7,410 respondents, projected to a population of 52.60 million
Multiple answers were possible.
This question was phrased by the source as follows: "This is a list of selected items. Not thinking of the price, which of these items would you put on your personal wish list, what would would you be particularly interested in?"
(Original German question: "Hier auf der Liste ist Verschiedenes aufgeschrieben. Einmal unabhängig davon, was diese Dinge kosten: Was davon würden Sie am ehesten auf Ihren persönlichen Wunschzettel setzen, was würde Sie besonders reizen?")
