This high learning rate is mainly due to its functionality not only as a large-scale power plant, but also small-scale installations by individual households. Promising tariffs and subsidies by governments made solar PV installations accessible to energy consumers, thus increasing demand for this energy type and in turn driving down costs following more widespread use.
