In 2020, men in the United States drank about 1.93 cups of coffee per capita per day. Female respondents’ per capita consumption was lower, standing at roughly 1.82 cups a day that year.

U.S. per capita coffee consumption amounted to 1.87 cups per day in 2020. The amount of coffee people drank per day in the United States has remained relatively stable since 2011, only dropping slightly in 2015 and 2016 to 1.85 and 1.64 cups, respectively.
Coffee brands in the U.S.
Folgers was the leading regular ground coffee brand in the United States in 2020, producing sales numbers in excess of one billion U.S. dollars. The company’s sales were higher than that of Maxwell House and Starbucks combined that year. Additionally, Folgers had the largest ground coffee market share in 2020: the leading brand accounted for roughly a quarter of the U.S. ground coffee market.
